Experience
During my senior year, I realized that working with special needs students is something that i'm very passionate about. I worked with students that need extra assistance to complete their daily tasks at school. One of the students that I worked with was diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and he really just needed someone to help break the down the lessons so that he can fully understand & succeed in school. We also worked on basic social skills and what appropriate behavior is for the classroom. He grew so much over the few months that I worked with him, and it was a really great experience for me! I also tutor students in grades 3-5 with learning disabilities or just struggling with school in general. The students that I have tutored have turned their grades completely around. My first student that I started tutoring had F's & D's in all his classes and he ended up getting A's and B's in all his classes. I work with students on organization, study skills, motivation, and skills that they will use for the rest of their life. This is how they'll succeed in school, no matter how old they are. I'm a young passionate college student, looking to have my own tutoring business/service to help children succeed specifically in the areas of reading, writing, organization, & study skills. I'm very passionate about Education & I'm planning making it my career & my life's work.
